Pam
Dawber, David Soul, William Schallert, Fionnula Flanagan In an ultramodern high-rise, during a nasty heat wave in Chicago, David Soul finds himself the subject of Pam Dawber’s voyeuristic activities from an apartment across the way (Mindy, no!). To show his gratitude, David yanks out his trusty pair of binoculars and returns the favor. While they attempt to play a sexy game of private dick (ahem!), a crazed murderer is slicing his way through the tenants of the very same building. And somehow this all ties together. TVMW genius, director John Llewllyn Moxey, successfully makes Through Naked Eyes one of the more lurid flicks to make its way across the network airwaves but even his talents cannot save the muddled storyline. At the core of our story are two peeping toms (one of whom is already carrying on an affair with her married agent!) leaving me to wonder which seedy protagonist I’m supposed to root for? The aforementioned heat wave puts David in such a fever pitch he remains covered in a thick layer of sweat throughout the entire film. Blech! There is an amusing subplot which has an investigating officer so obsessed with spying on David and Pam that the murders practically happen under his nose! But let’s face it, wouldn’t you rather peep on Paul Michael Glaser? Me-ow! Recapped by Amanda by Night |
