| Nestled in the days between the “crazed matron” films and the slasher boom of the 80s, MOTWs boasted an astounding array of over-the-hill Final Girls, usually actresses who had graduated from a successful series of some sort. This trend would later also hit the big screens as “thrillers” got more violent in the wake of Friday the 13th (see The Fan, Eyes of Laura Mars), but the small-screen precursor to the trend offers some delicious freak-outs and late-career swan-dives. | |||
