That’s right, fine fanged friends – Andy and I are back for a second week of Season 5 depravity loosely based on HBO’s hit series True Blood. We’ve got lots to complain about discuss this week, including vampire pimping, littlest werewolves, and of course the etiquette surrounding the consumption of seafood in a whorehouse.
Enjoy it all – and don’t forget, if you want to QUESTION OUR AUTHORITAAY! and enter into the season finale raffle, leave you questions in the comments!

The whole Authority bible, they hold it is reverence quote from it but dont believe in it because that would be so sanguinista, a big WTF is going on? Who’s zooming who with “So as the beetle nourishes the lark,so shall human nourish vampire.” oh but we prefer True Blood in a bottle, yeah ok, What do you think Brian, they scammers or just bad writing?
Chalk it up to 16 years of Catholic education, but I literally blacked out during those scenes. Okay, chalk it up to the cocktails, but STILL… Idunno – I think they’re reaching a bit with the whole VAMPYRE POLITICKS AND RELIJUN theme this year, but what do I know – maybe there is something more complicated and clever going on. What do you think?
Nobody else think they’re going to go Daybreakers and try to start “farming” humans in some way? They already have a donation system, think back to the “Donor” that came in to feed Jessica after she walked into the sun.
I’d like to question you guysies AUTHOROTAY and ask, Meloni has been in Law and Order, Patrick was Sean in Scrubs and Peter Mensa has been in Spartacus.
Are there any other actors currently on TV that you would like to see appear in the show and how would you work them into the plot?
Personally I’d have the dude that plays Tyrion from GoT come in and be Chris Meloni’s boss ;D
I went to Catholic grammar and all girl Catholic high, and we are both big horror fans, hmmm, connection? Now back to the OTHER fake Authority, I think they are fronting to cover their real deal, they so believe in that bible, why else have it with them and that whole ceremony with the blood? Maybe we’ll find out the whole Authority bit is written by a defrocked priest or worse, a Jesuit!
How does Steve Newlin know that Bill is not king anymore?
Because as far as I can tell, no other person knows that except the Authority–which leads me to think that someone in the Authority made Steve.
Who do you think make Steve Newlin a vampire?
We actually discussed that a bit but it ended on the cutting room floor – we know now that Steve must be connected to someone pretty high up because he has that intel. I initially thought that Pam could have told him, but she doesn’t even know yet herself, from what I can tell. I initially pegged her as his maker, but now I’m not so sure…
But another question I have is: What do you think Pam is sorry for, with Eric?
She was initially sorry about trying to kill Sookie with a rocket launcher, right? But it does seem like now she’s sorry about something more important…
I’m lovin’ the vampire religion, but chalk that up to my 6+ years of Catholic education.
First big question: Why did Eric and Bill choose NOT to kill Russell Edgington? Thank God they didn’t stake him, but they’re using him as a bargaining tool now, so they obviously have something up their sleeve. Any ideas?
I’ve also been wondering about this for a while (and others have brought it up elsewhere): Why does Bill seem so surprised about what the Authority does behind closed doors? It’s pretty clear from last season that he’s had some doings with The Authority for a while. I can’t wait to see where that storyline is doing.
I wondered how Steve Newlin knew about Bill no longer being King. I really wanted Pam to be his maker. Sounds like it was Nan, after all. He’d told Jason he was turned as punishment, and Nan was Authoritay.
Speaking of religion and Vamps, Alan Ball said Michelle Bachmann and Rick Santorum inspired the Sanguinista plot line. Just as Bachmann and Santorum think they have a direct line to God, the Sanguinista believe God created humans for them to feed off of. I’d personally prefer religion be kept out of “True Blood,” but Alan Ball didn’t ask for my opinion. But judging by the reaction I’ve heard from religious people where I live in rural Kansas, i.e. the 5th Circle of Hell, they were not very comfy with the talk of God being a Vamp. If that’s what Alan Ball wanted, I think he’s getting what he wants.
Am I the only one who heard Annie Potts as Mary Jo Shively when the stake ‘em Sanguinista lady talked?
Whoever turned him knew it would be great to have him as the public face for the movement, being he was the head of the FOS. He now is a big part of their PR, and that is what Nan was so concerned with in the AVL, but did she know where Russell was buried? I still wonder if Russell’s wolves are involved in feeding him, and some newb they spring on us (the cast grows) released him..
The web doth grow. I’m gonna think out loud as I type a little theory that just came to me. When Nan came with her gay stormtroopers, she said Eric was aware of others who weren’t on board with how the Authority did things. I’m thinking she was clearly talking about Nora. So if Eric was still in contact with Nora, considering how, um, close, they were, Eric might have told her where Russell was buried, thinking he could trust her. We know a Vampire glamoured the guy who worked in the parking garage because Alcide saw he’d been glamoured. I really don’t know where I was going with this, but I think Nora’s backstabbing Eric and I think Nan might have had Russell dug up just for spite against the Authority. But my theory could change five minutes from now.
I think Werewolves are feeding Russell, but what Vampire, aside from Russell, would be in league with the Werewolves?
I don’t know, maybe it was the little boy. I have no evidence of it, aside from the fact that he needs to study how Kirsten Dunst played the child Vampire in “Interview with the Vampire.”
I think the chance that Eric told anyone where Russell was buried is really low. He had the most to lose from Russell escaping. The best theory I’ve got is that the one who spilled the beans was…. the ghost of Godric. Nobody seems to remember he was there at the burial, we know he wasn’t happy, and surprise, Eric suddenly has a sister. They could have made Nora just some old flame of Eric’s, but they chose to make her his sister. Why? I’m guessing to keep Godric relevant. Plus, we know that only Eric could see or hear Godric (Russell accuses him of talking to phantoms). So it stands to reason that Nora would be able to see him too.
Okay, new theory: The one connection between someone who was there when Russell was buried and those who could, and would, dig him out was Debbie. And who was the love-delusional puppy who could have trusted Debbie enough to tell her, who happened to be one of those there when Russell was buried? Alcide. Might Alcide have told Debbie, thinking she truly was reformed and sober and trustworthy, told her during pillow talk? I mean, he took her back, after what she’d done, so he had a bit of a mental block when it came to her. It woudn’t be anything malicious on his part. It would be a simple mistake because he thought he could trust her.
I still believe Nora is backstabbing Eric, but he’s shown he cares more deeply about her than he has pretty much anyone else, other than Godric, so I still believe he would tell her, thinking she could be trusted, but the one sticking point in that theory was her being willing to help Russell get unburied. Debbie was one of Russell’s minions and she was taking V again, so I think she’d be much more likely. The question is still what Vampire would have glamoured the guy at the parking lot, and I got nothin.’
I gotta ask, about another topic on this thread, are we really sure Emma is a werepuppy? Was she a wolf, or a dog? Is it possible she could be Werewolf and a Shifter?
I was wondering that myself about Steve Newlin. Do you think that he was the one to dig Russel up and put him in that gurney. I think he would do whatever he could to get rid of Bill after what he did to him when they infiltrated the Fellowship of the Sun.
The whole Sanguinista/Authority/torture when they aren’t sanguinista? thing…. I do think it’s going to be made more clear what is going on, because right now it’s boring and clear as mud.
Debbie’s SUV is just the aerodynamic kind. Not a minivan, they showed it pretty clearly last season.
Newling… such a thumper would be quite scary if he learned of the vampire bible and believed it to be the first word of God. He’d be the first to head the Sanguinista movement.
Personally, I think that Russel has plenty of minions we don’t know about. He’s old as dirt, all he had to do was call on one and that one would be staring at concrete, and knowing his Daddy is down there. Cue the jackhammers.

quik question: why did Sookie hook up the silver mister to spray when someone was leaving?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Scooby sound effects – perfect !
Why did Emma turn? was it the full moon yet? Why isn’t Luna paying attention!! Someone call Werewolf DYFS.
Question for your Authoritay–Can we make bets on what episode Russell will get his fangs into Sookie again? I’m thinking ep9. I’m sure some other vamp will bite her before that though. Maybe Roman will get a taste of Sookie before the end of the season -hmmm…….
What episode will we see Chris Meloni without all that 3 piece suit covering up his sexy?
xoxo

ps is it more better for you if we watch the vlogs on YouTube to up your views?
QUESTION OUR AUTHORITAAY! – Pam & Tara Qs.
I’m quite sure Pam won’t let Tara perish in the tanner. Do you think we’ll see Tara as a Fangtasia bartender or dancer soon? Will Pam get her some new vamp outfits? And will they develop a romantic relationship?
DId Anyone else see Kylie Minogue eating Dorito’s off of Joe Manganiello’s Beer Gut? or the Fox News Commentator who went into a True Blood Rant Mid Broadcast?
