Hey, kids! Time to sharpen your chopsticks and dig into this week’s episode of True Blood. It may not have been one of Andy’s or my favorite eps, but it did offer its fair share of noteworthy elements, including undercover mice, Starship Enterprise Realness, a few notable deaths/departures, and of course one very Kreepy Koroner.
Enjoy!
What’d you folks think?

Question the Authoritaaaay! If you could have any memory glamoured the hell out of your head, what memory would that be?
Hey boys! In last weeks blood work recap for episode 9 you mentioned the website keepamericahuman.com was not registered…well, it is now! Go check it out!
Okay, my question is if you were shapeshifters, what would be your favorite animal to shift to? (skinwalking included) !!
Cheers, Mike
I was hoping Molly was going to stick around and be of use to Eric and Pam as a tech whiz. Ginger is employee of the year, no one has done so much for Pam as she has, remember her laying on Pam’s coffin to keep her from going to the sun? Hilarious! Tara as Michonne was pretty awesome too. Surprised you arent looking forward to little Belle Bellefleur joining the show, cute. Whatever Bill’s plan was it is changed the minute Russell spewed about Sookie, who knows what the dipwad will do now. Andy (Swist) and Sam sitting in a tree since season 1, I love that you stick with your bunny man.
Hey, there! First of all, I loved your sizzle reel for Bruno & Earlene Go to Vegas… it made waiting for Blood Work so much easier.
Sookie couldn’t take back her invitation to Mike Spencer because Eric still owns the house, which is also why we’ll see her move into Jason’s place in episode 11. Clauderella would make a great fairy name, since it would confuse people as to your origins (are you of the “Claude-” or “Morella” clan?).
It was funny to see you two take on the psychodynamics of the characters at this point in the season. I definitely agree about Bill and Maxine’s control issues relegating them to creepy status. Here is my question for you: if you were to recommend one celebrity counseling/rehab/etc. reality show for Bill & the gang, where would you want to see them seek help, and why?
Can’t wait to hear from you next week
Good vlog and I for one appreciate you continuing the reviews even through your move. But you guys seem a little tired! Hang in there…only a couple more episodes.
I really enjoyed this episode, I thought it was great! The only part I didn’t like was Molly getting iStaked. I hoped her cute quirky character would stay around for a while. Pease Out Molly! It was rad knowing you!
Also Imeincke is correct…Sookie couldn’t resend her invitation to Mike Spencer because officially she doesn’t own her house anymore, Eric brought it through some shell companies whne she was off on sabatical with the magical faeries in Season 4…remember? I’m starting to worry about you guys but maybe you just have house-on-the-brain.
I was glad to see the new Sheriff of Area 5 go…and that was really cute how Tara got Ginger to hold her breathe & play dead. I think Pam is proud of her.
There is just too much cuteness whne puppy wolf Emma or real Emma are on the screen. How dare Steve Newlin call her a punk…for SHAME!
I for one was glad to see Hoyt go…he was totally sad & kinda pathetic this season but since they’re sending him off to Alaska, he’ll probably be back at some point. BTW, he did mention that a couple of his friends from Parish Services told him about the oil drilling job in Alaska when he was driving home with Maxine.
Later Y’All
Oh my Godric are you KIDDING ME? We’re exhausted. And we were both a little bummed after the episode, I gotta admit. You’re totally on-point about Eric owning her house – I do get confused between the show and book continuities sometimes. I hope you can give us a little leeway as we shoot this effer literally minutes after the episode airs and make a point of not discussing or doing any research first to keep things spontaneous and on-the-fly. We find it gives us our best unscripted moments – but it also means we make mistakes and look really stupid sometimes, which we’re totally fine with as a trade-off. Obviously.
But thank you for your concern – we hope to be rallied and back in ship-shape this week. Oh – we also severely cut down on our boozing this last ep. Liquor really does make everything more fun!
Another Lilith sighting and no one mentions The Merkin. That thing looks like the long lost fourth member of ZZ Top.
It seems like everybody and their mother are being made vampires and we have no idea who sired them, such as steve and mike!
Q: If you were “made” whom would you most like to be your maker and why?
What struck me as weird was Hoyt is going to Alaska in the late fall/early winter (this season follows Halloween from last season correct?). Didn’t he see 30 Days of Nights? Why would you go to a place that possibly has more night than day in the middle of a vampire crisis?
Do you think that will play into the next couple of episodes?
HA! Good point!
I gotta admit 30 Days…crossed my mind too! Nice one!
Tara seems to always be getting the short end of the plot stick… I mean, she usually seems to be part of some subplot that seems to be it’s own TV show, like when she got kidnapped and then was a lesbian cage-fighter etc. I think it has something to do with the fact she’s not really in the books because the Tara character that sometimes comes in is really nothing like the TV show character. Which leads me to my…
Question Our (Your?) Authoritay: considering Tara’s history of being a part of subplots that don’t entirely connect with the overall story, do you think as Pam’s progeny they’ve finally found a good place for her in the story? AND considering the lesbian subplot that happened, was dropped, came back for half a minute, and was dropped again, do you think Pam and Tara will have a romantic encounter and how would you feel about that?
Also, a fun fact: I recently found out Luna’s last name is Garza which tripped my memory into remembering there WAS a Luna Garza in the books for about one chapter of the second book. She rescued Sookie from the Newlins when she was trapped in their church, and her name was Luna Garza and she was a shifter, but then she went away and was never mentioned again.
Also, a dare: I dare Brian to dangle his prepositions once and say “the character who we want to do bad things with” instead of “with whom we want to do bad things”. I’m a fan of good grammar, but sometimes I like to mix things up. It would be madness!
I’m with y’all – this episode felt like an hour long place-filler, almost like the writers weren’t sure where to go next with all the different storylines.
Questioning your Authoritay: Do you think Quinn will ever make an appearance in the television series? And if you were the casting director, who would you chose for the role of Quinn?
(I kinda like Vin Diesel, but that’s just me
)
Missed the first 8 minutes of the episode and so went through the rest of the episode not knowing Molly died. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to watch those 8 minutes now
My question your authority: This weeks episode showed us two new ways to get staked the iStake and some chopsticks. How would you guys liked to be staked with if you were a vampire?
My question your authoritaayy:
If you could pick one storyline/character to bring back from the books, what or who would it be and why? (Also, wouldn’t the actual Charlaine Harris make a way better Maxine Foytenberry?)
Question Our authority
I’ve been a little disappointed with this season of True Blood and was thinking about what I would want done differently. If you had the chance to direct an episode of true blood how would it go and what would you have the characters do?
No one has talked much about Pam’s outfits, but I gotta admit loved the white studded jacket and wavy black&white leather skirt…it was totally drag queen. And that brings me to my Question for the Authoritaay? What famous drag queen does Pam remind you of and what should her drag queen name be?
Little late to the party this week… But thanks for the Vlog… Entertaining as always!
While Bill is and always will be my favorite character, I am bummed that he has been so influenced by the crazy blood/naked lilith that he’s been relegated to the kreepy korner…. Although the bad boy thing is kinda hot despite the star trekiness of his outfit
And while I didn’t want Molly to die… especially at the hands of her own invention… I don’t think Bill had much choice, it was a decision made by the authority, he just had to be the one to push the button…
Is TB going to make a fake I-stake app??
I will say, this season is full of shenanigans, despite missing BaNana Flan and her BF shenanigans… it’s going to be a long hiatus waiting for next season….
And is it just me, or does that big gap Warlow sports between his/her fangs look an awful lot like Sookie’s gapped grill? Just saying…
