Alcide was softening the ground for the fence post. Sunbaked ground is pretty difficult to dig. Just thought I’d toss that into the conversation. Yes, I do collect useless information.
I’m looking forward to seeing what “ridiculous” thing Sam with shift into in the finale. Since Luna’s a skinwalker, I wonder if she might turn into a person.
It was directed by Lesli Linka Glatter. She directed the episode last season where Terry took Andy to Fort Bellefleur and made him walk home. I thought maybe it was Angela Robinson’s writing that gave it more energy.

OK who really believes that a big heapin’ hunk of man like Alcide could survive eating Campbell’s vegetable beef cup-o-soup, that ain’t enough protein for that 8-pack that he’s flexing? Adele, For or Against! How scatter-brained was that blue faerie elder? How did she live to be over a thousand years old, escaping vamps in process, in that condition…break-out the ADD meds! It sounded like she was preparing to cast Russell into some other realm…maybe that’s what she did to Warlow too? And could he get out now that she is dead? My favorite line was when she told Sookie ‘There’s a reason she sluts her heart out to anything with fangs!’

Also… I think Warlowe = Russell Edgington. Hence the elder fairy’s freak out when she found out he was still alive. I think she was all jazzin about getting her freaky dance on because really, she thought there was nothing to worry about. Then she got her panties in an enormous bunch when she heard Russell was still alive and was all ‘yeah, we gots to fight!’ – I dunno, my logic may not be sound, but I really think Warlowe = Russell

Question for the Authoritaay: If we could what horror, Book or movie/tv, etc. character would you love to show up on True Blood?? I know Eric is a huge fan of Vlad Tepes in the books and has a B’day party for him every year. But I maybe would love to see HMMMMM..Vlad, from the stories of his life that would be wild. From Books it would be Lestat…just cause he is over the top. Movies the crazy girl from Silent Scream! cause we need some more crazy chicks. TV Craig Ferguson passing through on his stand up tour. And Romney just cause I would like to hear him squeal.

Oh, I’m gonna miss these SO BADLY. Also, in a weird co-inkydink, I watched Visiting Hours again last night as I was bored and needed a shot of Shatner.
You know, if a main character were to be killed off, I think I would be ok with Alcide. He’s good on the show, and great to look at, but werewolves on this show seem kind of redundant given the presence of shape-shifters. In the books, is it established whether werewolves are stronger than a shifter who changes into a really big wolf?
I too was wondering what sort of manly nonsense Alicide was doing where he was hacking at the earth, but I think he was putting in those silver fences for the babyvamps because when we see him pounding his tool into the dirt, there’s a big opening in the front where Weird Packmaster Guy walks in but then that night the babyvamps can’t get in to the trailer. But when I saw that, I was like “Really? This is Alcide’s plotline now? Looking manly outside the Kreepy Kornor because I think Mr. Herveax just has his check sent to the Kreepy Korner every month.

When Russell and Steve went to the Werewolf barn, he slipped into another accent. Then, when he jumped on the table and shouted about wanting the Sun, the accent came back. Where do you think Russell’s not-Southern accent comes from (could he be Vlad the Impaler? I know Vlad wasn’t 3000 years ago, but could Russell have been Vlad?)
Joe Manganiello has been talking in interviews about how his character, Alcide, gets to “sexually eviscerate” someone this season; can’t wait to see how that turns out, and if they do make an Alcide action figure, it better be life size
