Happy Birthday, Counselor Ross!!!!

Twentysomeodd years ago today, Jennifer Rubin checked herself into an institution to prepare for her role in Bad Dreams - or so we thought. In reality, Ms. Rubin was hiding a terrible secret: she was carrying the baby of Bloody Face, and she didn’t want anyone to know… or for the baby to live.

Luckily, the baby did live – much longer than her career did. His name was Ross. And today… is his birthday.

He’s our Rossy de Palma. Our Portia di Rossy. Our Rossy O’Donnell (but back when she hosted Standup Spotlight, not when they gave her that talk show and she turned into a monster). To celebrate our copper-topped final gurrrl, here’s the trailer for the greatest birthday movie ever made, 1981′s Bloody Birthday.

Thanks, Julie Brown!

About Buzz

Buzz created CampBlood.org in 2003 to meet a need for a safe place for weirdos of all stripes to discuss horror movies from a queer perspective. Now that the campers have overtaken the Camp staff and locked them in the Arts & Crafts cabin he is questioning that decision.
