“True Blood” 6.02 Preview and This Week’s Cocktail: The Pink Lady

This week Pam and Nora have words, La-La and Emma have a kiki, and they introduce about a dozen new characters (including the new fairy played by hunkadunka Rob Kazinsky, above). Check out these clips, then join me below for this week’s drag-inspired cocktail recipe!

Okay, so on to the booze…. I simply CANNOT let Lafayette and Emma’s princess party go uncelebrated. So, in honor of their frocks (and by the way, where did the dresses come from? Aren’t they in Sam’s trailer?!), this week’s drink is the sinfully silky Pink Lady.

1 1/2 oz. gin
1/2 oz. Applejack
1/2 oz. grenadine (for homemade reduce equal parts pomegranate juice and sugar)
1/2 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
white of one egg (note: you can used pasteurized eggs if you’re squeamish, though the flavor will be affected slightly)

Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker without ice for about 30 seconds, until a froth forms. Add ice to your shaker and shake for another 1-2 minutes – or longer if you have the patience. Strain into small cocktail glasses.
