CampBloodComics update: “iZombie”, Googam and more!

It’s Andy from CampBloodComics with another update! This week I’ve got an oldie but goodie camp classic, a new review of the comic iZombie, and (of course) the latest installment of The Mystery at CampBlood!

First up is a gem I found hidden in my comic box, Where Monsters Dwell Issue #16 from Marvel Comics c.1972. The feature story is all about a baby monster from outer space named Googam, who is bent on taking over the world! Little Goo-goo is beyond cute with his gummy expressions and bitty eyes… a bit like Hello Kitty covered in lava! I scanned the whole story so you can enjoy all this terrible tyke has to offer. Read it here!

Beware og GOOGAM, son of Goom!

Next is a review of a new comic from Vertigo titled iZombie. It’s a supernatural whodunit treat filled with vampires, ghosts, shape-shifters …  and zombies! The first issue is priced at a whopping $1.00 and it’s a fun read. My gaydar was also going off from the very first page because of a reference to The Wizard of Oz, and later upon seeing a character sport a rainbow flag t-shirt! Well, it is set in Oregon. Check out my full review and some scans of the interior here!

And of course the newest episode of The Mystery at CampBlood is up!

Buzz and Chucky are almost to the party, but are alarmed to discover that their friend’s place is right next to the infamous “CampBlood”! This is also the end of “Chapter One: the Adventure Begins”, so you know the horror is about to hit the fan, folks. Stay tuned and see what’s up for our unlikely heroes!
