Christmas Evils: Victorian Vampire and Zombie Mouse Tees from Yoko Devereaux

Victorian Vampire from Yoko Devereaux

Christmas Evils is a holiday-themed series that aims to provide you, our dear reader, with the most inappropriate and ghastly holiday gift suggestions available anywhere. You’re welcome.

I’ve been a fan of Brooklyn brand Yoko Devereaux for years – clever, wearable and stylish designs like cotton jersey blazers, double-breasted cardigans and deep-v printed tees, all fitting within an aesthetic that creator Andy Salzer has called “maudlin sportswear”? Sign my ass up.

This year the designer (who closed up shop last year but has since been revived, Walking Dead-style, by the GILT Groupe) has introduced a fun, DIY Create-Your-Own T-Shirt feature, which allows you to put together a custom shirt using one of YD’s unique graphics. You can select size and placement of the image and shirt color (there’s about 50 colors to choose from) and – best of all – the shirts only run around $29.

Sweetness.

Zombie Mouse looks good in green, no?

My favorite designs (and the ones most appropriate here) are the Victorian Vampire graphic and the Zombie Mouse, both of which would be a fun and unique gift for anyone on your list. (Note: I don’t believe the gold ink in the above pic is available, but the model’s kinda yummy. Shoot me.)

Take a peek at the online design tool and throw together a fun and 1-of-a-kind holiday surprise!

About Buzz

Buzz created CampBlood.org in 2003 to meet a need for a safe place for weirdos of all stripes to discuss horror movies from a queer perspective. Now that the campers have overtaken the Camp staff and locked them in the Arts & Crafts cabin he is questioning that decision.
