Meet the Camp and Be a Superhero to Homeless LGBT Youth!

The WIll Clark Show, Wed April 6th

That’s right! Tomorrow night (April 6th) is your chance to hang with the Camp and raise some cash for charity in the process!

Yours truly (Counselor Chuckie, aka Andy)  will be appearing on the Will Clark Show tomorrow – Wednesday, April 6th – at Pieces in NYC. The fun starts at 7pm when I start sketching silver daddy TOREZ as a superhero – the finished art will go towards raising funds for The Superhero Project, an effort dedicated to helping homeless LGBT youth.

The first of four rounds of bingo start at 8pm. Prizes include a copy of gay comics anthology Young Bottoms in Love from Poison Press (generously donated by the amazing Tim Fish), a sexy set of art cards and an erotic mini-comic titled Second Chances, written by Dale Lazarov with art by Foxy Andy, a copy of Stripped, Uncensored featuring gay male erotic artists from around the world (including FoxyAndy) and – last but not least – a grab bag of goodies from CampBlood.org, including a FoxyAndy portrait of horror himbo Joe Zaso signed by Joe himself!

Come dressed in your favorite spandex, rubber, or lycra gear for a costume contest starting at 9pm, cuz the winner gets a fistful of drink tickets! Even if you don’t win, you get a free shot just for showing off. While you’re at it, why not show everyone that you’re a friend of the camp and make yourself up as a bike accident zombie, or perhaps a tight leather number and some Rick Genest-inspired facepaint for a sexy Ghost Rider?

Lots more prizes and fun to be had!  Counselor Buzz and friend of the Camp Joe Zaso will also be there to canoodle with your noodle. Also gracing the stage will be singer, actress and all around funny girl, Emily McNamara, calling a round of bingo and singing some tunes. So make a date… or find one there!

“The Superhero Project” is a series of arts classes taught by Ivan Velez, Jr (DC, Marvel, Tales of the Closet) and freelance photojournalist Adi Talwar (NY Times, Daily News, Wall Street Journal) for homeless LGBT youth. The group will create comic book art that will later go on exhibition and sale at LDR Studio Gallery as part of the Bronx Culture Trolley, an art tour. The Project is made possible by BRAINPOWER, an organization that works one-on-one with artists and provides classes in art and business to our students in small groups.
