Trailer Trash: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2″

Daniel Radcliffe and Ralph Feinnes in HP: DH 2

This came out yesterday and everyone’s probably seen it already, but my inner Harry Potter nerd needs to put this up:

Since this series started it has matured from clumsy kids movies designed to sell novelty jellybeans into the most gripping, expansive, thoughtful, emotionally satisfying and technically marvelous film series of all time.

I really do believe that – which might be evident from the fact that I’ve written about everything from the bittersweet dance in Deathly Hallows 1 to our trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. My post yesterday about favorite witches could have included any number of HP characters (Hermione Granger and Minerva McGonagall would rank high on a complete list). So suffice to say I’m looking forward to the last movie like nobody’s business.

I personally had major problems with some key moments from the last book but I’m hoping that the awkwardness works better on film than it did on the page. And if nothing else, from the looks of the trailer we’ll apparently get to hear Voldemort scream like a bachelorette after her fifteenth blowjob shot about a hundred times in the final film, which could be fun?
