Okay, guys: this weekend something very exciting is happening. No, I’m not speaking about your finally getting that pedicure or manicure you’ve been needing to get nor am I speaking about your forgetting that Dream House house comes out tomorrow. I am speaking about the one and only Shriekfest.
That’s right, guys and ghouls (that’s still a cool holiday expression, no?): Los Angeles’ own international horror film festival is about to arch its back and scream new horror films all over the city and into the world. There are a lot of cool movies debuting at the festival and I’m honored to be able to share some of them and the overall experience of Shriekfest with all of you Campers. Next week I’m going to be dropping five big Camp posts about cool things happening at the fest. GET EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!11!!!1!!!1!!!!!
First, I have coverage of last night”s opening kick off party, which was a blast. Although I was blocked by some large-busted gal from getting my photo did on the blood red carpet, I still snapped tons of cool photos of neat goings on that I am happy to share.
In terms of the films, I’ll be catching a few of the shorts and a few of the features. just for fun, here’s a trailer for one of the flicks screening this weekend, Absentia :
Expect to see a recap of the shorts, some of my favorite films reviewed, and – duh – coverage of the award ceremony.

Kyle, I want Shriekfest inside me. LA gets some of the best fest shit. Dream House, also, was one of the most hysterical failures as of late. (Did you see it yet?)
