Join us Sunday night on "Loving True Blood" Blogtalk radio!

Stephen Moyer and Mariana Klaveno

That's right, the lovely and talented Dallas of the Loving True Blood blog and radio show has invited us back on to discuss tomorrow night's Big Bill Episode of True Blood, where it looks like everyone's favorite pasty-delicious Civil War vet will reconnect with his vampire Mama, Lorna Doone. (Lorraine? Loofah? ... Okay, it's Lorena.)

I'll post the widget here tomorrow night prior to the 10:30EDT start time, or you can pop over to Loving True Blood in Dallas in the meantime and check out all the vamp-lovin' awesomeness there.

And here's the widget for the show, which we'll be on shortly. Join Usssssss!!

Come see the Camp tonite in Williamsburg!

If you happen to find yourself in Williamsburg, Brooklyn tonight ... well, I'm sorry. And yes, those homeless people do, in fact, have trust funds.

But if you find yourself slumming in hipsterville, come visit the Camp at the Summer Kamp - Wicked-Pissah! comedy series at Metropolitan Bar, where I have been known to hang out a wee bit too much. My pal Garry Hannon is hosting the gay standup series and this week has invited CampBlood to pitch in for a horror-themed evening, which will involve slaughtered campers, sack lunches, a handmade, one-of-a-kind CampBlood.org Care Package for one very lucky guest, and of course free comedy and cheap drinks.

Fore more details, check out the Facebook page. Please to join!

Still kicking

Cancel the dance or it will happen thrice

Can I just say that I fully expected to be arrested for wearing this getup and toting an actual pickaxe on the subway? Nope, nothing odd about that in the least. Thank you to the random girl on the L train at 2AM who gave me a Kit Kat. And thanks to Kim & Eric for taking this kickass picture and hosting the awesome horror movie party!

Hear me, hear me! Buzz on the radio

So I'm sure all you sickos have something better to do on a Saturday night than listen to Internet radio ...

(crickets)

But if you're near a 'puter tomorrow night at 11PM Eastern do check out The Drunkard's Dream, a radio show that has invited yours truly on to talk about gay horror movies and shit.

In the spirit of the show's title, I'll likely be hammered, (um, it is after noon, duh...) so it could get good. And if they take phonecalls, please dial in with your best Billy from Black Christmas! You know you can smell it...

Blood Work Ep. 2: Drunk on Blood

Are you watching True Blood on HBO? If not, you really should be, because it's starting to get very interesting. Somewhat less interesting but hopefully at least marginally entertaining? Me and indie horror fashionplate Alan Rowe Kelly getting drunk on tequila and recapping the second episode.

"SHOOTERS!!"

It's over on the CampBlood Video page!

That's right, bitches. I'll be back each week with another new episode of Blood Work, discussing each new installment of the bizarro new vampire series. Big thanks to Alan Rowe Kelly for being my first guest and to "Special" Correspondent Chuckie for providing the Cloverfield-esque camerawork. I mean, cameraWORRRRRK!

Werewolf cupcakes!

So, just to be clear that we all know that this is a gay horror website, here's a post on werewolf cupcakes.

A few weeks back "Special" Correspondent Chuckie and I had an "American Werewolf in Brooklyn" party to celebrate the full moon and play a card game called Werewolves that some gamer/comic nerd friends turned us onto (the game is seriously really really fun and you should check it out, k?). Humbert Humbert was kind enough to take a break from his grueling t-shirt modeling schedule to pose for the poster.

Now, lest you think from previous posts that I'm a theme party queen, let me just say this ... okay, I'm a theme party queen. Please, I staged a 1975 game show, complete with a celebrity panel (Rip Taylor, Charles Nelson Reilly, and Jaye P. Morgan) and real prizes, for my own damn birthday. And let's not forget this year's festivities.

Anyway, this party was only "werewolf" in spirit - it's not like we wore hair shirts or fangs or got shot during a live nightly news broadcast or anything. But my dear friend Kim showed up with what are perhaps the most brilliant cupcakes I've ever seen in my whole life:

Couldya die?!?! She's a fucking pro, yo.

Me? I made ginger snaps.

Get it? Ginger Snaps? Ah, blow me...

It's "Curtains" for New York City!

So here's a cause for celebration ... or at least a reason to pull out your favorite "hag" mask (no, not that kind of hag...) and join a few fellow loonies for a good time.

A good friend of mine and his slasher nutter cronies have somehow gotten their mitts on a pristine 35-millimeter print of the oft-forgotten Canadian slasher classic Curtains, and is screening it this coming Friday (Friday the 13th, lest we forget) at the Two Boots Pioneer Theater in NYC.

If you've read my gushing review of the film, you'll know that I will of course be there (although I'm coming from an even gayer movie event - if that's even possible - so I'll be arriving somewhere around the scene on the mountain pass). And more importantly, a little bird tells me that so will Lesleh Donaldson, a star of the film (her ice skating scene is the stuff of slasher legend) as well as Funeral Home, Happy Birthday to Me, Deadly Eyes, and others.

Lesleh's a complete hoot and you'll love her even more once you meet her and hear all her stories about being a Canadian scream queen. And did I mention that I'd be there?

To buy your tickets NOW, head on over to the Pioneer's site and click away. See you Friday, squids!

Oh, and if I haven't been convincing enough, let this white-hot trailer for the movie get you in the mood.

Buzz's Bloody Birthday Bash

Hey folks! I know I've been promising to post pics from my Bloody Birthday Bash for literally months now, and although I had been holding out for some pics from some of the folks who came (fuck knows I was too drunk to hold a camera), I've given up and just decided to post what I have.

You can check out all the pics right over here!

Buzz only has eyes for "The Blood Shed"

So here's a funny story: My picture is in the current issue of Rue Morgue magazine, as a part of their glowing review of The Blood Shed, the latest film from indie horror's glamazon of gore, Alan Rowe Kelly.

I posted some great set pics from the flick a while back and yes, I do appear in a few scenes of the movie as "the gay neighbor". As you can see from the pic above (you can click on it for a larger image, I think), things don't end up too well for me ... but then again, they don't end up too well for anyone, and at least I don't get my nuts sawed off with an electric turkey knife.

Anyway, you simply must RUN to the newsstands and buy every copy you can find, and make the appropriate closet shrine to the image of me without any eyeballs. And while you're at it, pick up the movie! I know I will, as soon as I can find the door.

And for the record, my birthday party last weekend was even more horrific than what you see above. More to come...
